    White Peaches From the Tree

Our friend Sam let's us raid her peach trees in the summer and so we went on the hunt to find recipes for our white peaches. Here's what people suggested for us.

    1. Just peel them, cut into small pieces and then boil in plenty of water. When the water is reduced by half, add a bit of brown sugar, a cinnamon stick, and a few drops of lemon juice. Try it on bread, with ice cream and spoon right from the jar (or pan).

    2. Baked peaches, like apples, make a nice desert. Cut peaches in half, remove the pit, put a little dollop of butter and brown sugar over them. In a baking dish, bake at 350 degrees until they’re warm, soft and beginning to brown and caramelize on top. Top it off with a little bit of whipped cream, or enjoy with vanilla ice cream.

    3. Peel, discard pit, cut into slices and freeze.
